Needs TLC.

For one point, please respond and identify this car.

Wendax

Yes, that's a good start, but there is more to this Dauphine. Locked for you.

hermanoto

The car is missing its front windscreen, so less to it ?!

A Duth 1959 brochure from the Renault Dauphine from shows the interior from Your picture.

Renault also made the Gordini  and Ondine version, but with a different interior.

In the USA also an electric conversion was made by Tiffany Motor Cars, but I see no clues for this one.

Wendax

No, it is a Renault Dauphine, but a famous one.

Was it wrecked in a movie?

ex  Life Magazine cover car from 17-8-1959 with actress May Britt

Wendax

Twice no

Unlocked and open for all rookies again

I would be happier if You put into Your question something like: specify make, model, year chassis number, and give the specific history .

Wendax

I did that for quite a long time, but decided against it, as sometimes the question for something can be used as a hint. And I don't like to place lists of wanted information at the beginning of the puzzle. This way I can respond more flexible to the answers given by the puzzlers.

Nevertheless feel free to ask questions to find out what might be special about this damaged Dauphine.

hermanoto

was it crushed on purpose?

Wendax

hermanoto

became it one of the  Compressed Car's  by Cesar Baldaccini

Wendax

Yes, it is the Dauphine by César. I saw it last March when visiting the MAMAC (Musée d'art moderne et d'art contemporain) in Nice.
