It is the 1970 Tasman series which included F5000 and the earlier 2.5 litre cars. This is Ron Grable from the USA who scored a reasonable 17 points in the season in this ex-Motschenbacher McLaren M10A. The car had been rebuilt by mechanic and Spectre HR1 constructor Ken Holden with a shovel nose and side radiators and was entered by Don Williams.

The winner! It's actually chassis 300-05, raced by Motschenbacher the previous year in American Formula A.

Well done.
