This is the Corvair-powered Silhouette II Space Coupé by Bill Cushenberry, who started to build it in the mid-sixties but never managed to finish it because it was seized by his financial backers. Its current owner, film location manager Barry Gremillion, has been trying to complete it for years, and has entrusted the project to Outlaw Garage in Santa Clarita, California. The whole process is being documented on a dedicated Instagram account.
