The chassis and running gear are not from a Mediterranean country. The amoured body may have been built in a Mediterranean country but none of the sources seem certain.

(gep.M.Trsp.Wg  = gepanzerter Mannschaftstransportwagen = armoured staff transport car)

Well found, 1 point to Wendax. They were probably built in Italy but there's no definitive evidence unless anybody knows differently.
