Name of this car and what it was based on please
Probably quite obscure but an Expert may know?
Based on Panhard Dyna
Time for a professional opinion
Pichon & Parat?
Not Pichon et Parat
Italian coachwork? Frua maybe?
Not Frua, not Italian....
French coachwork, as well?
Oui!
This is starting to bug me now. Contrary to what I said in the other puzzle, I never want to see another special-bodied Dyna as long as I live!
Is this built by a known company or a private individual?
I believe it was built by a private individual as I have it as a "one-off"
Could this a one-off Panhard Dyna X coupe built for Monsieur Lacapitane by Corrosserie Bore (with an accent over the e, which I can't work out how to do on my Blackberry!)

You are virtually correct except for the spelling of the carrosserie - I have it as six letters
(I don't know how to include the accent either at the moment)
I'll lock it for you until your next reply as you obviously have the correct car - there's no rush if you are still at Retromobile.
Six letters?! Wouldn't be Carrosserie Borree then would it? I have this one form two seperate and dependable Panhard sources, and both list it as Bore (with the accent!), as Bore specialised in the unusual doors that this car had, which opened in two sections; the top part folding up gullwing-style, with the main door section opening outwards.
If not Bore, then I'm not sure who constructed it for M. Lacapitane, so it can be opened back up to all-comers.
Djetset, I have posted part of the article (from LVA) on the car below.
They spell it Labore (with an accent on the e).
It is probably Carrosserie La Bore of Saint-Lo.
Whatever you have the point as you have correctly guessed the car.
Thanks for your source Woodinsight. I will scan in my sources too when I lay my hands on them.
Make, model, year and coachbuilder required for this interesting small coupe
Experts?
Panhard 5CV 1952 by carrossier Boré .
Could an admin merge this with MJW #221 please as it is the same car - thanks :)
Doubtless MJW#221 :
Merged...the headline should be fixed. ;)
Thank you :)
It was revealed on another forum that is famous for collecting information about coachbuilders but that I am probably not allowed to link to from here, that this car is still alive and in the process of being restored. This picture belongs to the owner of the car who posted it on the aforementioned coachbuild forum.
Please identify this car for a point.
is it rear engined?
designed by Michelotti?
Experts?
It's a 1953 Panhard with an aluminium body by Emile Bore, I believe.

I have the build date as 1952, but you're correct about the make and coachbuilder.
Now locked for you to complete by naming the model.
Dyna Z?
Yes this is where the date becomes significant. My photo - attached, shows it as 1955 where it would have been more likely a Dyna Z base, but looking at the wheels I am more inclined to your date of 1952 which would make the base car a Dyna X 5cv. Perhaps Emile Bore built it in 1955 but based it on a second -hand older vehicle!

Your photo says "1953." :)
Anyway, that's it. The point is yours!
