Unfortunately, none of my sources state anything more specific than "in the 1930s." Based on my own experience, I cannot narrow it down any more than "likely between 1934 and 1939."

My computer is out of action until tomorrow after an unrequested update messed up its operating system.  I'll sort this one out tomorrow.

Although the basic car was in production from 1934 it was up-dated in 1940 but was then only in production for that year.
The picture is of the up-dated car.
