I didn't realise this, but on further investigation I've found out that the original was destroyed by fire at the 1929 Los Angeles Automobile Show (where 320 other vehicles were also destroyed!) and in 1983 Dr. Peter Kesling commisioned 2 'replicas' to be built on original Auburn chassis, this is obviously one of them.

Good job he did, too. Here is the original, from the files of The Griswold Body Co., who constructed it:





BTW, it was constructed in 1928; it burned in '29
