Sorry, you mean Italian car or Italian national formula?
Italian national formula.
No, but Italian car
Have I understood this correctly - this is an italian-built car but competed in a national formula of a different country?
Yes
Raced in France ?
No
Raced somewhere in Western Europe ?
Yes, but there isn't too much known about the outings of this car in Western Europe. And it ran in Western Europe in a different configuration than the puzzle car

Surely not - UK Monoposto Formula ?

Please don't search in Europe
Alles ist nicht klar.
Am I correct - this is an Italian-built car that probably raced in Europe (but details are not clear) and then raced elsewhere in the world in a different form in a national formula for that latest country?

Is this the Conrero-Ford twin-cam which raced in Canadian Formula B ?
PS Other sources claim it was an Alfa Romeo 1570cc engine fitted!
Yes.
Conrero Alfa Formula B
Photographed in Mosport 1967, with Alfa Romeo engine
Results for 1968 claim a Ford engine, but an online foruim has former drivers in the championship who claimed it was originally built for F2 with a downsized Alfa engine of 1000cc, then fitted in Canada with an Alfa 1570cc twin-cam. This seems to agree with your date of 1967. Typical of the Italians to fit wire-wheels when everybody else used alloys.
A photo from 1968.
Exactly!
