Was it referred to as a small dump truck (tipper, klein-kipper, or similar)?

fromwien

Sorry, I think, I misunderstood your question: "Was it referred to as a 'transporter'?"
It wasn't named 'transporter', but the car's utility was to transport anything...

To give you a hint: By using a part of the word 'transporter', you will follow the right way

Hiawatha

Is it based on a VW Bulli?

fromwien

Not VW-Bulli based, but VW-engined, etc...

Does 'trans' make up part of the name?

Any connection to Jean-Pierre Läubin/Gryff-Motors-Garage?

fromwien

No sign about that, in the documents I have

BattlePorQ

Name contains 'Porter'?

pnegyesi

is there info online about this vehicle/company?

fromwien

pnegyesi

is it being referred to as a Transportkarre?

fromwien

'Transportkarre' is a very common German description for a car like that, but is not the name (or part of the name) of this one

pnegyesi

How about Zugmaschine as a description?

fromwien

fromwien

A (not too small) hint: The name of this car is very close related to its utility
