??? ??? ??? How did I get that then - it was a wild guess

Now I would guess it is a TR series under their - possibly a 5 or 6.

So was this a kit car or a specialist production model?

Quiller

There is a TR under there, yes - produced by a company that mostly used other brands for its mechanical basis

Quiller

Will the pros have it?

Djetset

I don't suppose that this would be an Ambrio Duo, an American TR-based kit car?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Quiller

Never heard of it! Anyway, it's not that ...

D-type

Michelotti bodied TR4 ?
Duncan Rollo

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

Quiller

I don't think Michelotti had a hand in this - although he seems to have designed almost every other car of the 1950s!

It's a modified Mean (Sonora?) with TR3 chassis.

Quiller

Yes! Well done. I actually have a model name for this - your puzzle for 48 hours to find it...

Allemano

Those guys were not 100% sure, but it's most likely a 1972 Mean "Aquila"

Quiller

I'm going to give you the point for the Mean ID ... but Aquila is not the name I have

Allemano

Will check it tomorrow, 48h aren't over yet.... ;)

1957 ( :disbelief: ) MEAN Francorchamps one-off!

Allemano

First I believed it would be the location where this car was photographed....

Quiller

Correct! I'm guessing the 1957 refers to the Triumph TR3 bits
