The Builder and the model are easy for autopuzzles but who is the coachbuilder?
expert
Rolls-Royce?
yes, it's a Rolls Royce
British coachbuilder?
Vanden Plas?
yes, the coach builder is british
This is a controversial car. It is thought to be a rebody by Joseph Grose, Ltd. on a 1929/30 Phantom II chassis, but almost every detail is in dispute (except that it is a Phantom II.)
my reference to me tells me that it is indeed the coachbuilder Grose on a rolls royce phantom 2 base. Obviously you win the point marmer. While this is still a controversial car, I leave the header under Grose and let the experts at Auto Puzzle discuss and decide.
Here are a couple of Talbots by Grose. Note the railings.
And a Buick, Crossley, Leyland, Lagonda, Mercedes-Benz and Riley! Clearly their photographer's favourite location.
