What's this, by whom, from when and powered by what?
Google Search by Image continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Search by Image as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.
AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.
We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.
Have fun!

What's this car and when?
Expert!
I think it's the Ray-Ford Special from 1958 (AKA Ray Racing-Sports Special).
Seems to be a re-post though:

The car is currently For Sale in Surrey!
Tax discs are a thing of the past of course so it must be an out-of-date one..
Please identify this car for a point:

I'm pretty sure this was one of my old puzzles but needless to say I can't remember the answer!
I think I recall it was home-built in the US by a guy who might have been named Bill...
Triumph? Anything to do with Peyote?
Jaguar bits?
MG then?
Got it!

The hyphen strikes again. My source has it as the "Rayford Sports Special" without the hyphen.
A point for you!
Merged again
Many thanks!
It can very confusing with the hyphens.. It's strange that the Search facility doesn't recognise the words around the hyphen when one is involved.
Great that you've mastered merging! Well done. I'll just move the puzzle to the Solved board though as that's where the latest solving should go.

Thanks! Not quite mastered, as you can see. ;D
By the way, I've been using the "quote" feature to identify topic IDs, but I assume there's a more direct approach?
