My hands are a little tied with the criteria:
- was set up before WW2, mostly known for their work after WW2
- relatively well-known
- known for trucks and trailers, but not for cars.
The list is getting narrower
How about Evels?

Spier?
You've got the hint. Spier it is and one of Spier's best known work are the UPS vans, (https://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/2019-49/wendax-2984).
Thank you very much. Without your pleasant hint, I would never had thoughts on Spier coachbuilder. I made a lot on mistakes by searching for the body-maker as I ever thought, it's a hearse, but now I think it's a delivery van
