About this book :
l'm fed up with magazines full of tastless parts ( ads , racing , custom , selling , etc ).
ln china there's about 8 to 10 kinds of car magazines ,and one annually car book (<auto catalog>, from German) .
for the other car books , most of them are just kid books .
When l once read a chinese version of <Car and driver> , in Q&A part , a reader complainted that this long-history magazine is losing its taste and history.
He pointed out that " this book has high price but contains more and more none-car stuff comparing to itself in 10 years ago"
And then guess what ?
The shameless editior replied " Our goal is to make a 'comprehensive man's fashion magazine' instead of 'Car magazine'. And those parts you don't like probably is welcomed by others"
Well....totally shameless.
<Car and driver > is probably the best car magazine you can buy in normal way in china.Even this brand corrupts like this , not to mention others....
Back to 1990s or 2000s such things happened too , but at that time , ediots would say in a honest attitude "Please forgive us for rising costs “ instead of speaking bullshit .
Oversea shopping is too expensive , and most of available books on Mainstream shopping sites(Amazon) are either monograph for some brands or time , or some too-hardcore stuff . This is different from what l want " as wide 、as rare as possible but hasn't to be too deep"
so l have been thinking of making my own collection of rare books . "lf can't buy a good weapon , make one instead."
