Отечественные легковые автомобили (Domestic passenger cars) by Сергей Канунников (Sergei Kanunnikov)

Publisher: За рулем (2009, 2nd edition)
Language: Russian
ISBN: 978-5-9698-0275-9
Pages: 504

In this book the author describes more than 500 Soviet and Russian cars from the very earliest of 1896 to the new production and concept models, prototypes from the very end of last century. This book is not only overloaded with beautiful B&W pictures, but also has description and detailed specifications for most of the mentioned models, including those prewar cars. Also mentioned here are some quite obscure names. Despite it is written in Russian (not many of us can well read this language, neither can I), overall this is a really great book well covering a rich history of the subject. 504 pages and more than 600 pictures makes it a must-have for all interested in Russian automotive history.

Looks like the Holy Grail of books about Russian cars.
I definitely must have a copy of this book!
Do you know if it can somewhere in Europe easily be ordered?

Perhaps from Moscow, but I don't know how.

I'm honestly impressed with the interest shown by you, guys! It seems it was well worth for me to drop few lines about this book :)

P.S. I just wonder if Za Rulem would make me a discount on their products for promoting their book  ;D

Arunas, do you need anything from Za Ruljem? We are just working out a transportation method. Za Ruljem is not really an expert when it comes to international shipping. So the pack of books will land in Budapest, through a series of friends and then we'll post the books from there. It will still be cheaper. Gimme 2-3 days and I'll come back to all of you

If there is such a long queue of shippers and re-shippers, maybe I could help in some way?

pnegyesi

thanks for your kind offer, but in reality it is not so complicated. The books will be on the Moscow-Budapest train courtesy of two friends. And then we'll ship the books from Budapest.

Coming a little late to the game, but can I order a copy of this book as well please?  Thanks.
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

pnegyesi
