"Скорость. Рекордные автомобили СССР" (Speed. Record cars of the USSR)
This is a book on the subject that I thought might be interesting for some of you. This book, written by Alexey Rogachev and Dmitry Dashko, has been printed earlier this year and covers a complete history of land speed record cars built in USSR from prewar period to the very late Soviet dragsters. Cars from 1946 to 1984 (48 cars) have thorough descriptions with technical characteristics and major achievements included. The only difficulty for many of you I can think of is that the book is written solely in Russian, but the tables with specs and results are still readable, while the pictures don't need translation at all, do they?

If that is reasonable. I'm familiar with the authors and I don't think they have copies left in their stock. Maybe the publisher does, however, but they might have been forwarded to stores already.
