Looking at your 'selection' I come to the conclusion that it wouldn't be the right book for me either...  :-\ ;)

Don't get me wrong, the Author keeps his promise (New Zealand custom-built cars) and I think it was not easy to track down all those cars, but I can't see the point in a book with each page dedicated to a kit-car built by an individual with a short story of it. I thought it was more like 'Autodesign in Nederland' or 'Swenska Bilar'
The result is:
5 pages dedicated to 5 Almac 427SC built by 5 different persons,
5 pages of 5 Almac Clubsprint,
9 Almac TC, 6 Almac TG, 9 Chevron Classic, 7 Fraser Clubman, 5 Saker SV1 etc...etc...

I did not read it extensively, but so far they all go like this:
Mr XXX has always had an interest in a YYYY car then he 1.saw one for sale or 2.built one for himself or 3. you name it.
And then the usual trivia for a kit car: donor cars, costs, time to build it, colors and current use of it).

Among those (for me) uninteresting pages you can find some nice cars like the ones already featured here and few more.

Here you are some pics.
After reading it I can say that is quite entertaining and a nice reading after all.
If you look for an informative book, well, that's not, but if you'd like a book with some stories about some peoples and how did they deal with theyr dream of having a selfbuilt car, you can spend some pleasant hours reading it.
There are also some 'test drives' of some of those cars (the same that you can find in a certain site....)
