you've said nothing about your impression of this book.  ;)
I've two volumes of Italian Sportscars by Halwart Schrader. Although the pics are great some of the facts are wrong and confusing.  :-\

Even on home ground, there were errors in his Deutsche Autos 1886-1920, some of which were inconsistent statements in captions and text

Possibly part of an international trend to assume that editors and proofreaders are no longer necessary, and need not be paid for.

Do you understand German?
I mean otherwise it can't be that easy to varify the content of a book.

Halwart Schrader's BMW encyclopedia hasn't got the highest ratings from BMW experts, but though it's quite interisting as I'm still a greenhorn on that subject...

Yes, but not really well.
I found mistakes in things that I needed to look closely into, so I put the effort in.

That book is, however, more or less all there is for that period, so I was recommended it by a distinguished (Swiss) motor historian - and I did find what I needed to know.
