This is a fascinating introduction to Czechoslovakian motorsport from 1938 until the late 1980s.

The book is divided to chapters by era: 1938-1945, 1946-1948, 1949, 1950-1951, 1952-1958 etc.
Within each chapter there are all the factory and home-built special models built in those years.
Contemporary photos are joined by nice and detailed color drawings on some of the cars.
It is also possible to learn about individual events and there's also a little background given.

If there's a copy anywhere, I'm interested!

There's 1 copy on Amazon at £30...but I saw it at half price too...already sold.

I somehow managed to find this in the otherwise dreadful 'transport' section of an antique book shop in Stamford this weekend, for £12. I think they were shocked that somebody had finally come along and bought the weird Czech car book...

Congratulations :)! And do you like it?

barrett

Yeah! Lots of cars I have never seen before. I guess it will be irritating to translate properly but I think I get the vague idea from the text (Year, engine, designer/constructor etc). I'm not sure that the chronological order is very helpful though, especially with no index...
