Another great book about American cars.
This one covers the most exciting period for these cars.
In 975 pages it covers all the production of the major makers.
Year by year, for each model youll find 6 paragraphs: appearance and equipment, vehicle I.D. numbers, specifications chart, base engine data, chassis features, optional equipment lists and historical footnotes.
The 2nd part of this book is even more interesting:
Alternative cars: 76 pages dedicated to the cars we all love: (...), Airway, Allstate, (...), Apollo, Argonaut, Arnolt, Asardo, Astra, Auburn, (...), Avanti II, Bangert, Basson's Star, (...), BMC, (...),Bocar, Bolide, Bosley, Brogan, Buckaroo, (...)....and this is just part of the A-B list.
The info about this cars may be few lines or different pages with the year-by-year production.
 Here you will find everything there is to know on every single model year, optionals included!
 The pictures and the paper is not of the highest quality and the 2nd part should be bigger.
Is the 2nd part included or an extra volume?
Is part of this book, if you look at the index, pic#2, is under the 'Alternative cars' voice.
There is a big mistype in this book, pag864 and 865 should be inverted.
I have an earlier edition and am disappointed that they haven't put much effort into researching the minor makers. Doesn't make me want to have the next edition.

Do you know another book which covers these minor makers?
No, there isn't another book with all of these in one place. One particular car that I know well has erroneous listing in this book. I did write to them years ago, but the next edition was not corrected.
Both Gaylords, eh? Cool 8)
