Hey Jotage21, I think you've hit on a great idea!   ;D

I for one have thousands of duplicate car books, magazines and brochures that I would be happy to trade with fellow Puzzlers for other interesting motoring literature that I need.

For example, if anyone has a spare copy of the World Cars 1967 book, l'Automobile Magazine 'Toutes les Voitures du Monde 2009/10' (see below), old German Auto Katalogs, or sales literature on the Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato and Nuevo Giulietta Diesel that they would be happy to exchange for stuff that I have (I'll compile a list) then please do let me know.

For example, things that I have that immediately spring to mind that could be of interest to other puzzlers include World Cars 1980, the McLaren F1 book, French books on CG, DB, 2CVs, etc., brochures on almost everything from the mid-1970s onwards, old kit car magazines, etc, etc, etc.   Let me know what you need, and I'll see if I've got it.  Happy hunting!

Djetset, in theory, do you suggest a possibility of selling some of them instead of swapping?

Put your lists up here to facilitate exchange the info with all the readers of the topic.  It will greatly aid figuring who wants to exchange for what.

Just sayin'......

I have an extra copy of the Ghia Catalogue raisonné (see for PJ’s review of the book here: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=8980.0 (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=8980.0) ) that I would like to swap for an interesting book (or books) about coachbuilders or Italian cars which has approx. the same value.
I am in particular looking for a copy of the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 book by Angelo Tito Anselmi.

I forgot to add that I give them for free.
Each one cost me few euros and there's no point in selling them to friends.
If you are interested, PM me.
If there's more than one interested, the only way I have to decide is to exchange them with what you will offer....the most interesting book\magazine, whatever, will receive them.
I'll decide in 1 week (more or less).

Good luck!

It's in used but good condition (if age is taken into consideration)

Interested? Send me a PM!

There is one book in particular I am trying to find.It is published by Palawan Press and is called"The Bentley Continental Sports Saloon".Also the Alfa book "Allegerita"is rather hard to find it seems.I have recently sold a copy of "Time and Two Seats"which I would like to replace if the opportunity presents itself.richard

Pricey these days yes,but when new Time and Two Seats was discounted to £100,Allegerita £70?the Automobilia catalogue raisonne books mentioned earlier in this thread averaged £50 each when some were discounted around 5 years ago.I have never seen the Palawan Bentley book ever.a friend of mine is looking for"The French Sportscar Revolution"if anyone has a copy for sale. Also I see "Delahaye Styling and Design"is available once again now with leather binding from The Coachbuilt Press.the Alfa 6c by Angelo Tito Anselmi mentioned in this thread I think I saw on the shelf at Badgers Books Worthing England last week.richard

I just received a big lot of magazines.
I'm keeping the ones I need for my collection but there are about 400 more I will sell/exchange/give away.

I'm going to give priority to requests from fellow autopuzzlers.
I will have a list in the near future, but I'm going to start with these 3 lots:

Ruoteclassiche (65 issues from #1 to #70 with only 5 missing issues)
La Manovella (53 issues from 1986 to 1993, only 5 missing issues)
Quattroruote (170 issues from 1970 to 1985-90 (issues numbered between 178 and 400)

I will consider any offer for these 3 lots.

I'm not expecting much for Quattroruote (not consecutive numbers for such a long period) but I would spare much time selling them all together.
La Manovella's and Ruoteclassiche's lots are the best issues for each collection and are higly appreciated.
I know more or less how much I could obtain but I just would like to get back what I paid for and it's less than they are worth.

If anyone is interested, I can give you a rough idea of what you will find there (test drives, obscure cars, etc), because I already filed all their articles in my database, but only if you are interested in one of these lots (not the single issues).
If I will not have offers, I'll try to sell them via other channels for a limited period of time.
If time will pass and my wife have not killed me already, I will sell them one by one and you can ask for the issues regarding a particular car (or subject) you are interested in.

I can post pictures & co. if needed.

Here I am again with another group of magazines.
I'd like to swap them with the ones I am missing...but I will consider (and very likely accept) any offer above zero for each one of them: I don't have time to sell them and I know they will go to real aficionados.
I'm waiting for Djetset's PM, who already told me he is interested, but in the meantime, you can have a look and see if there's something you need/like.

Is there anyone out there who has the 1983 book "Alla Saabs Sportsbilar" (All Saab Sportscars) by Bjorn Svallner?
I'm esp. looking for pics of the original Coggiola Saab Sonett proposal which is featured showing two small b+w images.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if this is something that would interest the AP crowd, but I've listed a collection of approximately 80 Ferrari books (plus some scale models, etc.) for sale on Bring-A-Trailer. The auction ends five days from today. I won't post a link here, but it can be easily found as "Collection of Ferrari Literature and Memorabilia."

Here are a few images:
