This has just been published. I have a copy on order and will report back once I have got my mits on it (and maybe solve a few puzzles as well!)

Well I have had the book a few days now and had a good read (also solved one of Djetset's puzzles using it!).

The book is very comprehensive and although their may be a few omissions it seems to be complete. The most amazing fact is the quantity of entries with the number produced as 1.

The only bad point is that it doesn't have an index, this can be especially annoying if you were looking for a Richard Oakes designed car. He was worked for so many manufacturers that is it difficult to work.

Apart from the index I would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in the British Kit Car industry. But on the other hand with an index you may well miss some of the real gems that probably shouldn't have ever seen light of day!

it´s really a very fantastic book. if you think that it doesn´t worth to buy it, some pictures will change your mind.

Great book!
If I have to find something I do not like in it, probably the fact that the cars are listed per model and not per maker.
It makes sense for models that had different makers but if you look for all the cars built by MEV (Mills Extreme Vehicles) for example you'll find them scattered throughout the book.
A simple index would have done the magic....
...but It's a book you have to buy!

Glad to hear it is a good book. I've been meaning to get it since it came out and will definitely be getting it now.

Djetset

Are there any AutoPuzzlers left that do not now have this book?!  It looks like none of us will be posting British kit car puzzles now for quite a few years!

A great book though Steve; very well done!
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Dunno - if you can compile a list of the mistakes it might keep some minds occupied....

One of the latest I found...the entry about the Trimini:
The pic shows Tony Anchor's Trimini, the text refers to Kim Argyle's Trimin...inspired by Tony Greenwood 3-wheeler (!)http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=8106.0
