2009 Chery F11

The Chinese Chery F11,  to be produced for the 2009 model year. There will be a choice between two engines, a 3.0-litre V6 and a 4.2-litre V8, both developed independently by Chery.

Chery has just signed a deal to produce a small car for the American market to be marketed through Chrysler Corporation.

I'm expecting a major lawsuit from another car maker when the first Chinese cars try to hit North America.  The big automakers will demonstrate that the cars impounded will have their designs without permission.  They are waiting for cars to hit America, where the courts will be able to destroy the bootleggers.

Didn't take them long to copy the Audi/VW grille/snout now, did it?  Kinda looks like the Azeera, or a Buick or a Lexus or certain MBZ offerings or even a Kia or a Hyundai. See some Accord and Camry in there to as well as a little soupcon of Avalon.

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  If that be the case, this is a very flattering car indeed......
