Technical (engine, gearbox,..) AVIA, GME branded (as notified on the front grille)? Then correctly: Ikarus 543.80, 1985-91

I have both: One time as a Ikarus 506, Isuzu based, delivered as a CDK-kit to Egypt. Another info: Ikarus 543.80, AVIA based...
May be Pal knows more about it...

According to the book, Ikarus évszázados története (100-year-long story of Ikarus), which is the definitive book on the brand (a previous edition has been translated as Rolling Legends and was available in English) so this is the Ikarus 506 which was available both on the Isuzu NKR 12E and NKR552 chassis. General Motors Egypt liked the prototype in 1987 and between 1988-1991 altogether 900 CKD kits were supplied.

The 543 looked totally different - see picture
