Would this be Raymond Loewy's restyled 1959 Cadillac Coupe de Ville?

Is this custom car based upon a Lincoln?

fromwien

Not custom car, but Lincoln

More prototype, than concept... Not by the factory made...

BattlePorQ

Heavily modified production Lincoln?

...by a very well-known coachbuilder...

Derham.
Continental Mark II by Derham. Modified by private order i think, as several different others.
Literally, Continental at that time is not a Lincoln.

I agree with you. You are absolutely right. The car should be named 'Continental Mark II by Derham'. But every source I know, say 'Lincoln Continental Mark II by Derham'. That's the reason, why I accepted 'Lincoln' as marque's name...
I have two different sources: One of them states that car as a prototype, the other one, as made on private order... May be, someone has better informations...
