I think that's the Bentley Mk.VI Special made by or for Martin Trentham in the late 1970s. As built it looked much more like a C type Jaguar and I've seen Bob Smith of RS panels credited with making the body. I remember it more like:

You've got it (1948 Bentley Mk VI Special on chassis# B-84-CF), but I believe the conversion was done by Alan Padgett in the early 1970s.

That's the car, yes.
It was said to have been inspired by the Jaguar C-Type and was bodied by Bob Smith of RS Panels.
Had I seen Allan L.'s reply before gte4289 posted I would have locked it for him to find the correct builder, who was indeed Alan Padgett.
