Hmm, well a lot of information about this car appears to have been lost in the ages....

I could discern it was made by Manny who is/was involved with the manchester classic ford club.

The car appear to have been converted about 15 years ago, and the conversion took less than 6 months. But the build diaries appear to be offline now.... and the club forum seems to have stopped being used about 4 years ago.

All I really need for the point is what model the base Capri was.

Ok it is a mk3 2.8 Capri. As for the spec of the base model haven't found that yet.

The original site I found the car on described the base as a Capri 2.6RS, but it did re-direct me to another site with lots of pictures where it was described (by the Owner!) as a 2.8 Special.
So the point is yours.
