Makes you want to go for a ride, doesn't it?

Please state manufacturer, type and year of manufacture for one point.

Saurer L4C, Krapf bodywork, Amriswil 1952

sichel

Saurer: Yes, L4C: No, 1952: No. My source says nothing about the bodybuilder.

Very near by! Swap numbers and letters, add one letter and one number. I didn't have a smaller fence post.... ;) Locked for fromwien.

No, two Letters followed by two Numbers. So says my source, it's a calendar.

So in thisway, I think, it only can be: LC 01?

sichel

Sorry, but no. Perhabs it is a fault in my source. Next weekend I'll try to clear it.

I asked the owner, it is a CR 1 D, there is a write error in my source. Congratulations, one more point for you.

Dear 'sichel', thank you very much for the point! I don't want bother you anyway, but shouldn't be the correct type of this Saurer: Saurer 1 CR1D or Saurer 1C CR1D? As CR1D is only the designation of the engine-type, not the model designation, in my mind. May be I am wrong, but think so, due to some informations in the Kopacs-books, that my assumption could be right

sichel

Hi fromwien, many thanks for this information. It's always good to have people with a large archive.  :hail: What is the difference between 1 and 1C? I think, from the year of manufacture, it should be a type C.

Didn't you forget to reward me with a point?  :'(

Find my Saurer-typology-knowledge at the next attachment (Austrian Saurer!)
All the best to you!

sichel

"Didn't you forget to reward me with a point?" - I was just testing to see if you'd notice.
Thanks for the information about the type designation.
