I was as lucky as that to follow the cars during all three days of the legendary race. Here are some impressions from the event. Not to mention that we could cross our paths with Paul Jaray (an autopuzzles one) during the trip :)

Oh, thanks for featuring it on the main page! :) I will try to upload more pictures to Flickr and will simply post the link here when it's done.

Great!

Thank you, Otto!
By the way, on a picture called DSC_0102_3 with a green Triumph through Raticosa pass (Day 3 #4) there is our ride in the background. Yes, that dark one, no, not Cayenne, yes, that neat little Panda with a 1.2 engine :D The car performed greatly, with the only real inconvenience being a lack of torque so necessary on all those curvy roads. Surprisingly, three days in a car were not tiring, despite we literally stopped mostly to refuel (thanks to a very low fuel consumption, that was a rare event), take pictures of cars passing (several times during the whole race) and eat something from a plastic bag with supermarket supplies. I was pretty amazed with how a city car performed in a long distance run.

Stunning pictures!
I wish I could one day follow the race too...
Thank you for these pics. I'll add few of mine soon, but I'm not that good at taking pictures :bag:

Thank you! :) Your pictures were always good, why should they be worse this time?

Here you are...(and there you are ;) )

Really great pics gentleman ! Today I visited the fantastic Louwman Museum in The Hague, with a splendid exhibition of automotive history. I will try to upload some pics. If you ever in Holland, go there ! This is the web address : www.louwmanmuseum.nl

That is a very impressive collection indeed! I've heard about it before, but didn't think it was so big. I hope I will be able to visit it if I'm ever going to be in Hague or around. Thanks for sharing it, must have been a great visit.

If the weather is bad the following weekend (and secretly I hope it will be.. ) I'll be there my girlfriend promised. :yeah:
On the other hand the chances for rain are rather scant... :-\
Faksta: magnificent photos!!!

Hey Faksta - very nice cars and very cool photography!
Some really nice panned photos of moving cars as I do like them especially..
I do envy you - I´ve never made it to this magnificent event. :disbelief:

Thanks Faksta and Paul! Very nice pics 8)
I hope I will be able to visit it if I'm ever going to be in Hague or around.
I've been there last year, it´s my favorite museum.

Thank you, guys!
When you're in places like those you are getting really upbeat. Italian landscapes are amazing, and with all those cars around they become simply the best - not taking pictures there is a sin :)
Joao, my favourite museum for the moment is Cite de l'Automobile in Mulhouse - also an amazing collection of cars from the earliest days and a great display of competition machinery. That said, I haven't been to Louwman's to compare.

On Monday I've collected the official 2013 Mille Miglia book from the post office: it lists all the participants, including the Ferrari Tribute. Surprisingly, have to say I'm kinda upset by it, mostly because of the low quality of the pictures. The biggest problem is that some of them are even out of focus, while a number of cars shot with a flash from a close distance, which is not good at all :(
