I'm intrigued by "sign shots"; signs direct you to somewhere, tell a story, or just capture your attention.  The following are a few "signs shots" I've taken.  Since I'm sharing different ones with other boards, I may add more here later....

Anyone else fascinated by signs or take "sign shots"?

Very cool indeed!

I've made pictures of old Michelin signs in France. Some of these date from the 20s, many from the 30s and most from the 50s. Just a few:

Ireland 2001:
For the people that do not know: The sign says that you are entering a part of Ireland where they only speak Gaelic. (As if).

Nice to see a picture of mine (the borne Michelin near Guise) on the front page. Thanks!

Spotted on a rest stop on the German autobahn

This is a very special sign.

It leads to the legendary german LUDOLF´s scrapyard.

The business is ran by four brothers who became kind of cult figures in Germany and abroad, esp. in Japan as I´ve been told.

Here´s more Wikipedia information to be found about them:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die_Ludolfs_%E2%80%93_4_Br%C3%BCder_auf%E2%80%99m_Schrottplatz

Peter Ludolf is the brain. He´s invented  his own system of just piling millions of car parts - and he really knows where to find what. All four of them are really incredible and the TV series is just a pleasure to watch (it´s german, of course)

Here you can see a small part of their shop (the exhaust piles)

I can imagine....

My goodness .. that pile of parts ... would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack ... at least, for most of us....lol.
