We've had quite a few puzzles of cars that were supposed to fly and/or hover. This photo thread eschews those flights of fancy. Instead, this thread is for photos of cars that realy did become airborne. The only rules here:

  • Photos must be from before 1980, before hotdog stunts became commonplace in moves, TV and the internet.
  • All 4 wheels must be off the ground

Enjoy, and please, share some of your own!

A famous German advertisement for reaching your mutual building society in time in order to receive this year's financial grant. There was a similar picture with a Goliath GD 750 (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=15651.msg151877#msg151877):

Oh yes, the famous ad campaign with various designs. Unfortunately I can´t find one in good resolution on my HD.

But many others... ;D

Careful - some of those have one or more wheels still on the ground... ;)

Nice ... great thread, Otto!

Saw an old ad campaign the other day that, iirc, had 2 of the same model ... 1 firmly on the ground, the other suspended in air.  But, sadly, that's all I remember about it.  NOT sleeping has its disadvantages.....

I know these are small wheels, but they're all four in the air!

This one can be posted here, but it would also have its place in the Red light topic.
