!  Quite an interesting collection.  When observed as a commentary on womens' fashions, the absence or presence of gloves, particularly the white gloves, signals a major social paradigm shift.  IMNSHO, 1968 changed all that, although the change had been brewing for a while.  Comparing the chicks in bikinis between what appears to be 1948 and 1968 goes from risqué to mainstream.  Amazing what a difference 20 years can make.  Made a big difference to me.  I was in diapers in 48 and army fatigues in 68.
