You had better cars than Goodwood!! A Porsche 917/30......oh I say.......

And that Morgan SLR would fit in well in the TT recreation, if only they had a class system.

Just posted part 2, enjoy !  Those Porsches were great, the sound of the 917/30 with 1200 bhp was quite something ! It was driven by Gijs van Lennep, he said just reached 3rd gear on the straight end because in 2nd gear he was already at way over 200 km/h !

And the last race of the day was a 90 min. long battle with 3 Shelby Cobra's, Ferrari 250 GTO, Corvette, Ginetta etc.... At the finish line there was just 0.7 seconds difference between no. 1 and 2, very exciting ! Simon Hadfield was the lucky one in one of the Shelby's.

At least the Porsche had a competent driver, vastly experienced. The problem at historic meetings comes when a very fast car is driven by an amateur owner - OK he's havng fun and good luck to him, but it causes problems for the faster cars and drivers and can be dangerous. That 917 must be frightening to drive even for Gijs!
