Cool thread - I'll add some soon!
I don't doubt that!
-
Here are a few to grow the thread.
-
Much more Janes than one would have thought !
-
It's stalling - time to take it to the garage again!

Nice bunch. My turn.
With more Janes, and of course Walker Evans' famous "Cherokee Parts"
-
A few old "Joe's Garage" drawings.
Some could also fit the "Service, please" thread, but one has to choose.
-
Love your work!
More Joes (and a couple of Janes, for good measure)

Any background for this photo?

Looks like a V8-engined tube-framed Lotus, that car second to camera, and the closest car, judging by the suspension geometry, is similar to that one as well, but with a different engine.

Here's another pic of the same garage area. The mystery car car is now in the background, but is somewhat more visible. I'm pretty sure it has a Coventry-Climax engine.

Thanks! Still, can't quite put it all together. The car 'on the right' looks like it could be a monocoque Lotus 25 of Jim Clark (the only monocoque car raced in Zandvoort in 1962) - dark wheels, V8 Climax with both intake and exhaust on top.
The one 'on the left' could be Trevor Taylor's tube-framed Lotus 24 with a (different) V8 Climax, but on the pictures from the race I can see it had a similar intake-exhaust layout, unlike the car pictured here, as well as dark front wheels, while the pictured car has light ones. What is more, the nose cover that lays behind the (possible) Clark's car feature the number with a pretty clear '..1' or '1...' that doesn't fit to any of the works Lotuses raced with 4 and 5.
Also, some sources state that Clark and Taylor practiced and raced in different cars, maybe that's the thing.
