Only every four years this exclusive event takes place.

Members of the vintage Volkswagen clubs come to Bad Camberg from all over the world.

This legendary event had participants from Mexico, Indonesia, New Zealand, the USA and from all over Europe.

Only here you will see such a mass of really old KDF Wagens, Hebmüller Cabriolets and one-offs.

So here´s photo bunch #1:

btw: the owner of the Beetle Station Wagon (the first two photos) does not have any information about his car. It is not a Beutler conversion. Three Volkswagen seem to have been converted by a belgian company in the late 1960s. He said his is a 1966 model, converted in 1967 and the only survivor.

Does anyone have any information about it?

Very interesting cars Grob.
Has a book been published that covers all these VW specials and one-offs?

Well, there are tons of Volkswagen book.

But one that covers most of the specials is:

"Volkswagen Beetle; Coachbuilts and Cabriolets; 1940-1960" by Keith Seume & Bob Shaill, 1993

And here´s the second batch of four:

The number to find the book is:

ISBN: 1870979338

You might be lucky and find one fine copy for only around 10 EUR at some internet bookshops.
