Hi, I know there is already a website entirely dedicated to the subject, but I thought AutoPuzzles deserves a movie thread, of course just for rare and special cars...
Yesterday I was watching the movie "Boccaccio 70" (1962) and a scene catched my eyes. In one single shot you can see two interesting coachbuilt Fiat: a 1951 1400 Viotti "Giardinetta" and a 1952 1400 Monviso "Rondine".
And, to add a bit of mistery to that, the cars are again visible in two other shots. The Viotti is in the same street but parked on the other side (the Topolino is travelling backward from where it came just before...) and the Monviso is in a different place, but I guess it's the same (an orange car is quite uncommon...)
Crew's cars maybe?? If so they have a good taste...
The cars quoted above
New movie. "Un maledetto imbroglio" from 1959 directed by Pietro Germi. In three different scenes we can see a Fiat 1100L/1400 Giardiniera Monterosa, maybe always the same car?
And then there is the streched Fiat 1100 Taxi already seen here on AP.
From the movie "Le ragazze di Piazza di Spagna" (1952, directed by Luciano Emmer) a nice Fiat 1500E Cabriolet Pinin Farina
Just to show there is someone paying attention, the 1956 film "The Iron Petticoat" which starred Bob Hope and Katharine Hepburn included a scene where Hope drives a 1939 Lea-Francis Sports - only three of them were made, so it qualifies as rare I think. . .
Here is Hope getting into the car:
