While searching for photos of the Brandone Alfa I checked out coachbuild.com (I believe this is Jotage's site and I've found it to be a treasure trove of information.) While looking in the Brandone section, I came across this 1935 Hispano-Suiza K6 Cabriolet:
It's labeled as a Brandone creation. However, in my own reference collection (I wish I had a memory like some and didn't need a collection of 150,000+ images plus a collection of books that seems to grow weekly) I have the same image (different size, though) that's labeled as a Saoutchik-bodied car.

It occurs to me that they can't both be right. I don't have the information regarding where the second image came from in my database, but it can be found in a quick search of the web by name.
So....does anyone know the real coachbuilder for this car?
I hope my way of going about posing this question doesn't ruffle any feathers.
Thanks in advance,
Ultimatecarpage has a great article on this car as well. It includes an image of the Brandone badge. Not sure what part of the car has corrugated metal as shown in the image of the badge, but I think this is a solid argument against Saoutchik:

I guess I'll take this out of my future puzzle queue. :)
(I just found another image of this car from a 1999 Concours d'Elegance, claiming coachwork by Figoni)

It is not Jotage's site, but João is listed as
Contributing editor & guest writer.

Thank you. That site's very helpful and I've been a "member" there for quite a while. I spose I should have used that resource. Duh. That pretty much clears it up.

Ahhh. I see. In any case, it's a great site and I appreciate his (and all others') contributions.

That's right; it's Michel Mobiel's site as far as I know; I believe he is a member here on AP but he never visits, or at least doesn't post.
