I have no answer for this but came across it on British Car Forum (http://www.britishcarforum.com/bcforum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/262222/page/1/gonew/1) where a member spotted it for sale.
The Ad (http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-other-Midget-Car-Body-W0QQAdIdZ10899893)
QuoteMidget car body, 3/4 size? 1/4 size, LeMans style racing shell, fiberglass, rear motor design, ok so I don't really know what I have but I sure have had a lot of suggestions, $150.00 or best offer call 905-380-7097 niagara falls

Not ringing any bells...
Oh, Lord. Talk about your basket case. Why would anyone DO that to yourself? ::)
Mr. Dent - did the seller ID this shell yet?
Sadly no. The ad is now gone so I guess its lost cause if AP members don't know

Well, to point out the obvious, it's probably designed to be an aftermarket body for a rear-engined air cooled vehicle. No front hood seams, no doors, or hinge bosses.
It almost looks like a body to convert a VW beetle to a 2 seater. Kind of like the dune buggy conversions.
undoubtly rear engined but the rear deck is not very tall looking. I doubt a VW motor would fit under there. Perhaps something Fiat powered?
Administrators: Please delete this post.
As this will be deleted anyway I dare to promote my car photostream at flickr.com:

;)
What does this all mean???
Yes - inquiring admins want to know. ???
By mistake, I posted the latest geographic puzzle in this section instead of the Experts section, and as I am not allowed to delete even my own posts I just had to remove the contents of the post and leave it for an administrator to delete. The puzzle will soon enough be moved for the Professionals to have a go at.
And then, to Grobmotorix: Why on earth would you want the link to your photostream to be deleted? The pictures are GORGEOUS!! :o :o
I think we should keep this thread as a memento and paean to human ingenuity, persistence and mistakes.
O0
should it stay or should it go....
Removed - is apparently the subject of a car magazine quiz - Admin please remove
Apologies
MG Magnette convertible?
Not specifically what I have - tell me more !
Im also unsure it's not a repost - sure I've seen something like it but cant find it !
Would it help if I offered more points or is it time to move on up ?
coachbuilder from Europe (not UK)?
Incidentally the same photo is the mystery car in this months Classic and Sportscar magazine (brit mag)...
Is it ! - oh should I withdraw it then ???
I have withdrawn it !
I don't think you need to withdraw it.
Put it back.
They don't have any more right to use the car as a puzzle than we do! Besides, we have a better quality of puzzler and they will solve it way faster if the pros get a crack at it.

I'm the guy they're getting fed up with solving all their Mystery Cars...!
I have a cupboard full of Balvenie whisky. And very nice it is too! You're all welcome to pop round for a tot or two if you're in my area!
I don't get to the UK that often. You are welcome to any of my 80+ whiskies if you make the sojourn.
You should refer them here. They might like it.

closing date for the C&SC competition has passed so I think it's okay if I mention that it's a an MG TD bodied by G&H Perl, the Austrian MG agents. shown at the '54 Vienna show and then vanished.... (I assume this was the same one you posted here?)
Annoyingly I was too late to enter the competition so no whisky for me, but I wouldn't be surprised if no one got it....
How do you know what it looks like?
I can't see any pics..
I never had the picture. This was Octavia's puzzle
It´s solved?
I have the picture BTW...
What we gonna do with puzzles like that?
The linked car is long gone and nothing happened here for more than three years..
I suggest a moderator simply deletes it. It has no value now. It was originally posted not as a puzzle, but to see if anyone here knew what it was - and nobody did.
Fine suggestion. A little house cleaning once in a while won't hurt.
Merged ;D
Anyone who is feeling sane after reading this thread from beginning to here must have a better grasp of reality than I do. It's completely bonkers! :lmao: :lmao:
Got to agree with you Richard, I thought this had been closed off.
But yes it is almost the strangest set of posts in autopuzzles land.
The only weirder one I can recall was someone who started randomly deleting their puzzles after a disagreement....
Takes all sorts.
