Cardi has indeed had a Zhiguli based project - I think it was their first car (c.1996), it was called Cardi Body and was based on 2106.

Wow: we just got post #100 only in a couple of days!!!  ;D
It seems an interesting topic and I'm going really crazy with all I'm discovering about these cars!
The contribution of the all of you is great!

Magistr 1600 from 1993. VAZ 2106 engine and 2107 front end. I have an article about it.

A couple of cars I've discovered but no pictures found.
The Sofia, made by Velizar Andreev in Bulgaria with the company Vilicar.
I found some (bad) pictures of the Sofia B but none of the first Sofia (A) sporscar and the Sofia C SUV.
Does anybody know them?

You can find this one on our own Autopuzzles!

Not sure if it is 124/125 based, but because it was intended to be available with either a 1200 or 1600 cc engine...

Who made this Fiat 125 based ambulance?  Mariani? Or Boneschi/Grazia/Fissore?

Also this one would be nice....  ;D

Well, it's a VAZ 2106 rebuilt to be useful on Russian roads (we say sometimes that we have directions, not roads  ::) ).

I've read that "El Campeador" had a Seat 1500 engine, not a 124/125 Fiat

Polski 125 pick up
I used this as a daily driver from 1996 to 2004,The car was based on the 125 p estate. A few cars were imported to Norway, along with the ordinary saloon and estate cars. I resprayed it in black, and swapped the motor for a 132 1800 TC
