Today we what we hope will be an entertaining assortment of video presentations for your enjoyment. This week's main features are a collection of car chase outtakes that are not as those famous scenes in "Bullit", The French Connection", etc. We've thown in a couple of short subjects, and even some vintage commercials (gotta pay the bills, you know).

Grab some popcorn and a Coke, and enjoy!

In tonight's first short subject, a collection of auto news stories from the 1950s, including a new in-car camera demonstrated by police forces to improve road safety, vice president Richard Nixon greeting leading American taxi drivers in Washington DC; and a bizarre looking "collision proof" car which is made of plaster of Paris and gives its driver a severe bone jarring test when driven over extreme terrain.

First Short Subject

In our next short subject, 1941's "Drawing Account", takes us behind the scenes in a 1940s animation studio, showing the making of a Chevrolet advertising cartoon

Second Short Subject (warning - long load time)

Next, Tex Avery gives us a humorous glimpse of cars of the future:

A Cartoon

And now, a word from our sponsors:

Fill 'er up with Texaco Sky Chief!

...and Zolt Baumgartner's doppelgänger rides into to Virginia City to sell you a '65 Corvette.

And now, the part you've been waiting for - three car chases you may have missed.

Car Chase Video #1, from 1973's "The Seven Ups"

Car Chase Video #2, from stunt man John Stewart's directorial debut, "Action USA"
