How about one of the worst cars ever sold in large-ish numbers?

Dacia - these were sold in Canada in the 80s. Most lasted only a handful of years.

"Would ya just watch the hair. Ya know, I work on my hair a long time and you hit it. He hits my hair. "

Who else could utter such magnificent words and make it sound like he meant it? Nobody other than John Travolta. Here is a car that has all the depth, meaning, class, and worth of the quote above. It's the Barris-built Travolta Fevah Pontiac Firebird, in all its bewinged, box-fendered and saddled glory. Think back to the late 70's when driving a car like this meant that you would get the ever-lovin' crap kicked outta you on a weekly basis. Now you can own this car and earn the respect that once escaped you. People will no longer laugh in your face, point at your ridiculous mustache or sneer at your pimplicious clothes. Instead they will all recoil in horror and take a step backwards as they realize that they are dealing with a deranged feral psychopath capable of anything.
It ain't great respect, but it's better than nothing.

Over a year ago I started this thread with a hemi-powered dodge dart you could have had for (IIRC) about $30k. It's been over a year, and all I have to say is...

INFLATION IS A BITCH

This LO23 lightweight special with acid dipped doors, thinner side glass, and a paint job that implies it eats children and puppies can be yours for...

Two hundred and ninety five thousand friggin dollars. Bid early and often!

They are very rare cars.  For them to command that kind of money though is quite surprising.

It does seem strangely familiar for some reason.
I make poor decisions, but I have a good time.

Cut off in traffic? Cut 'em down with rockets, lasers, and twin machineguns! That's right, it's a genuine Megaforce movie prop dune buggy!

$21k reclaims your childhood.

My infallible memory says this buggy was totally awesome! Or possibly radical. Or maybe gnarly. To tell the truth, I can't recall how I said "cool" that decade. But whatever it was, this was it.

A blast from the past! Back to the future! Ahead of its time, a time that never was! Futuristic or instantly dated? You be the judge with a genuine....

C4 Corvette digital dash!

Bid early, often, or not at all.

*Disclaimer: Stephen M thinks digital dashes like this and the S2000's are kinda cool.

This is a bargain in so many ways, I'd die of old age trying to count them all...

Bring out your dead!

500 Cubic inches of heavenly thunder?

Devilish flame job?

Currently not running, but merely "may" need a tuneup?

Faint smell of dead people?

Might include a half-eaten bag of potato chips?......

Bid with confidence!

That thing could turn on a dime and give you 9 cents change! Plus, much better than a compass, it has a built-in relative wind indicator...simply look out the windshield to see the direction of the prevailing wind! :)

Endlessly fasinated with them also, probably from their plain unadorned bodies which were ridiculously low.  simply stunning cars and one on my short list.  My father in law had a coupe and my mother in law cried when the car was sold.  I'd love to own one.

I liked the '61 the best. Ford's 'improvements' to this car over the ensuing years diluted its true beauty.
