I am trying to add more local content to my Examiner stories. Last week, after months of trying, I finally go a local dealer to accept that I was an actual journalist and offer me a test drive. The dealership wanted to spotlight the Crosstour, so the Crosstour it was. Did I suck up to these people big time in the story. Oh, yeah. I did. If I ever want to do more of this stuff, I had better not trash their vehicle, had I? So much for journalistic integrity.    ::)

But actually, I really liked the Crosstour. I like the way it looked and the way it drove. A seriously nice car. IF you plan on dropping almost 40 large on a new vehicle. Which I do not.

Check it out yourself.

Nice article; butt-ugly 'car' (IMO)

It really looks quite nice 'in the flesh'.  Compared to the new BMW 5 Series Grand Touring, it stacks up pretty well.

And for 20 Grand less!   :o

I admit that seeing one in person can make the difference and I have not seen this in person.

Don't like the Beemer much either.  Have seen it in person.

I actually think the Crosstour looks better than the Beemer. The resolution of design elements at the rear of the car seems done better by the Honda boys than the Beemer lads.

This is my first attempt at a personal review of an existing car, something that Petra does as well as anyone. How did you guys think it did in terms of being informative? Would it influence anyone to take a look at this particular car? Was it clear? Did it have a beginning, a middle and an end?  Should Dutch Mandell be worried about his job?    :lmao:

Here's a link to an auto review Petra did for us:

I enjoyed reading your review.  The open, free flowing format is more in tune with your writing style than the tighter format that Petra used and is more suited to his writing technique.  However, you can compare and contrast and see if there is some things worth co-opting from his method of review.
