I have proposed some of them in the "What's special" puzzles.
I've been thinking that others could be presented in a new dedicated topic...
Let's start with the '59 Dodge Beach Party Package". It will come real handy every summer, or all year long for the residents of Florida, Southern California or Hawaii.
-
Now that's some nice junk in the trunk!
-
You've had "Three girls in a Dodge", but today it's "Four lasses in an Olds".
-
Less girls, but smaller car for Jimmy Cagney carrying Joan Blondell and Mae Madison a ’31 Model A Deluxe Roadster with rumble seat. Note how the ladies are protected from excessive sunshine by their own ragtop.
-
Now if you prefer your accessories ON the trunk, Dodge (again) offered this for the 1969 Charger Daytona.
-
Boy, ball and dog in a 1957 Panhard Dyna Z12... (I know it is possible, but the drawing is a bit too optimistic ;D )
-
Or a price winning lady in a 1960 Panhard PL17
-
Or if you'd prefer to play your harp
-
You might like to find her in your 2CV
-
Though maybe someone would prefer something bigger and rounder...
-
Great stuff, Mike!
Panhard leads with three points, ahead of Citroën and Dodge, two points each.
-
Please notice that, in the '69 Dodge Charger package, the accessory has been asked to remove its shoes, so as not to scratch the paint.
-
Swing with Dodge Polara:
-
....
-
....
-
....
-
"Très confortable..."
-
This is only useful when you happen to drive into the water.. ;)
-
Fine additions to this topic, lads. Except the last one maybe, Guido.
I'd be pleased to carry any of the stuff in my trunk, much less with a duck in a rubber suit.
By the way, Allemano, thanks for reminding me one one of these most pleasant accessories, even if you apparently forgot it was one of my own puzzles, the Hirohata Merc!
http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=8396.0
-
A last one for the weekend?
-
This way you can do without the car ;D
-
Today's additions:
- If the rumble seat is already occupied, stack the other one on the bumper.
- When no phone booth is available, what about a Pontiac hearse?
-
Unusual aerofoil accessory on this GSM Dart.
-
What about: if your lady got no legs, give her atleast the snuggest corner of your car.
-
I don't know if it's a good idea to mess with Linda Vaughn around here, Allemano. The Linda Vaughn thread in the HAMB has 26 pages ( http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233162) , and I'm sure that she has some friends in Autopuzzles too.
And she has some very fine legs, and if the trunk isn't big enough for them, she 'll ride ON the trunk!
-

And she has some very fine legs[...]
What do you think from where I took this? ;D
And I know that not only her legs are worth a glance...
-
Whichever of the above accessories you're planning to install in your car, it may be a good idea to optimize it with this gadget, found in the November 1959 edition of Mechanix Illustrated!
-
:lmao: she looks a little bit insecure..

-
Firefighter's Edition
-
Earth girls are easy.
-
You get more with an Isetta
-
What about: if your lady got no legs, give her atleast the snuggest corner of your car.
Y'awl probably know, this is the twin Toronado powered '67 Cutlass.
I still just can't get enough of this site, cool thread too!!!!!!

I never distributed points in this topic, which is not, after all, in the Puzzles category. But maybe, in order to keep you focused on the true subject of this topic, I should award candy bars tho those puzzlers who are spot on.
The true subject has been defined as "girls in the trunk". "On the trunk" has been allow at times, were there was no room "in". That's about all.
According to these principles (and I am a man who sticks to his principles) the latest additions would be rewarded as this:
- a candy bar for Paul Jaray's "3 girls in a Terraplane" (and they fit real tight, too).
- no candy bar for Otto Puzzell's "Firefighter's edition" ( running boards are out, Otto).
- half a candy bar for "Earth girls" (the hood is rather off topic, but her friends look cool. By the way, don't they remind you of something?).
- a candy bar for microcars' Isetta (who can say where is the trunk in an Isetta? And they're six girls in it anyway, that beats eight in a Pontiac hearse.
Now here are two that would bring me candy bars:
- Only one girl in a Plymouth (but armed and dangerous!)
- And two in a translucent Pontiac, and one is crawling into the engine compartment.
-
A hint of Twilight Zone in those two... ;D
-

Now I get it! One candy bar, please. :D
-
Pardon my dyslexia ;D
-
That's TWO candy bars for you! We wouldn't want to discriminate dyslexia, would we?
-
...
-
One candy bar. If a car has no trunk, you do have to stack your accessories somewhere, right?
-
On the trunk and one full trunk ...so on the backseat
-
On the trunk ..
Luggage rack. Rack looks pretty full to me.
-
Another grouping
-
Alas, this lass' car has no trunk. No frame, doors, suspension, seats or steering wheel, either.
-
Amy on a hemi.
-
.
-
With all this "on the trunk" stuff, aren't we getting dangerously close to some other Danica Patrick takeover, as in this other topic, "Women and cars".
-
OK, OK....
-
If you are a gentleman, you help your wife climbing out of the trunk:
-
Didn't have front trunks yet
-
"Oh, can't get in there, the trunk is already full."
-
No kidding, this was an ad for women's shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti!
-
And please, don't forget her in there
-
I'm not sure how this accessory actually works or what it is for but I like the way it looks.
-
That last one is definitely worth a candy bar
-
When my car and I were new the accessory was pretty decorous:
-
Indeed, but accessories don't get to ride in the passenger seat, usually.
No candy bar.
-
No candy bar.
That's fine because:
Candy
Is dandy,
But liquor
Is quicker.
-
Just because
-
C'est tres facile
En Simca Mille
as I think it said one the rear window of one I borrowed to go trialling.
-
Who's afraid of the Wolf?
-
Let's get virtual
-
No trunk? No problem.
-
.
-
:headache:
-
Messerschmitt &XXXXXXX ;)
Wrong section
-
Now, back to the fun.
-
just sing along:
-
....
-
Thanks to Otto for removing the picture of this tastefully decorated Mini bonnet.
I was weighing whether to do it myself (but have only been stopped by a strong concern for individual freedom ;D)
The problem to me is not that it was in the wrong section. The existence of a "risque" section is sheer hypocrisy. It's more that this makes us Autopuzzlers look like male chauvinist pigs, so to say. It's not that we fear to be caught by our boss looking at sexy pictures. It's that we complain that we don't have many girl members, and it been rightly noted that this thread might have something to do with it.
When I started this topic, I felt that the images I posted, and most of those posted by others, were rather cute and non offensive to women. Now did I grow up from a 1960's "liberated" baby-boomer to a politically correct and puritan old timer? Because I don't like many of the pictures posted here lately. But in fact, I think I have felt the same for many many years: I never was much moved by a girl in a bikini reclining on a car hood with a horny smile, trying to sell me her can of oil or brake fluid.
-
Spirits that I've cited my commands ignore
I guess it would be sound to give a certain time frame for the pics to be posted here. (1930-1970 ?)
It would eliminate unwished media. ;)
-
The picture itsself was not the problem - it was the name given to the file and in the intro.
-
One of my favorites!

Auto show edition
-
And of course, what does an average sporty girl when she eyes a fine sporty car like this AMX...?
-
She immediatlely jumps in the trunk (provided she's got a headscarf to hold down her hair)!
-
With greetings from Groß-Gerau.
-
Do I get a candy bar?
-
Can I get a candy bar too?
-
Sorry, she's not in the trunk, engine bay or any weird place. No candy bar.
-
I accidentally found this Renault Frégate picture on facebook:
-
It seems that this dame hasn't been fed a long time, living in that trunk.
-
It seems that this dame hasn't been fed a long time, living in that trunk.
She looks fine to me - pity about the car, though ;D
-
All right, this one is ON the HOOD, not IN the TRUNK, but i's not a woman either.
She looks familiar

A combination of angular and curvaceous forms
-
OK, how about stacking trunks in a trunk, near the trunk? ;D
-
OK, how about stacking trunks in a trunk, near the trunk? ;D
Interesting concept indeed (and I love the witty smile of the girl).
-
In the trunk, you cannot have a ball. Nevertheless, other girls climb in - in search of...what?
-
Not the kind of accesssory that you ladies men expected, but quite useful nonetheless:
A brush.
Why bother with sprayguns, airbrushes and such, when a common brush will do the trick at a much lesser price, says the baritone John Charles Thomas while taking care of a small scratch on his fender.
-
Brushing that aside, the trunk bunch returns!
-
I hear you, Otto.
There is a vehicle here and different kinds of trunks, and a tank. So, a girl in trunks is about to jump in the tank. Does it qualify?
-
Cool pic! I think it might make a good skating rink, during the cold winter months.
-
The car as tempting as the girl ;)
-
WARNING: If you own a rear engined car, the luggage compartment is not a very safe place for your girl-friend to travel.
-
A girl almost in the trunk:
-
Another girl (providing it 's a missus alright) almost in the car, if not the trunk. But the trunk seems already in, anyway.
-
How to convert a trunk into a catwalk:
-
Boys can do it too, and even in a front-engined car!
-
Can't we fit a few more girls in here?
-
My grandpa had one of those Renaults. I despised it. If I had only known they could be so equipped!
-
:)
-
Dealing cheese... ::)
-
Dealing cheese... ::)
Louis ('le rat'), right doesn't know that Gerard, left, is really an Interpol agent and is making an offer for the hashish-filled cheeses in the trunk. Things will become unpleasant for M. Rat very soon.
-
Worth a candy bar? To be sure!
-
The cheese stands alone.
-
Worth a candy bar? To be sure!
I see that here too Gerard is ready to intervene.
-
This topic wouldn't be complete without the prettiest and most useful of automotive accessories: Miss Linda Vaughn!
Linda bests that gal in the Renault's "trunk". She bests that guy in the Crosley engine bay! She fits in an engine bay without even REMOVING THE ENGINE!
-
Linda's a winner!
But let us not forget Jungle Pam Hardy. I even found her in an engine bay...more or less:
-
Girls, girls, girls....
-
I started this topic with a Dodge, here is another. Maybe the same one. This time the guy standing next to the car (Buck Baker, famous Nascar pilot) managed to shoehorn five gals in the trunk.
-
This girl is not in the trunk, not on the trunk, not in the engine bay, but she's a certified auto accessory, says the sign.
-

The Saint's spare?

Many of us girls also love cars as much as men. We all have this burning passion to be able to drive the hottest or sleekest car in the world. I for one love going to car shows and having my picture taken with it. Not only do I love cars but I also know how tho change flat tires. I mean, let's face it . When it comes to working on cars, the popular perception is that the task is more a male activity than female. But it doesn't need to be that way; stereotypes could be transcended. Here's how you can teach girls to understand cars, because it's essential to start children young. You can figure out << embedded spam link removed >> effortlessly.

Many's the time I've lamented the lack of women here on AutoPuzzles, and I've never been able to fully work out why when there are female enthusiasts out there. Are they just not interested in motoring history? I know they like cars and driving and women are involved in car design, marketing etc etc but it's such a huge area of interest and is just so male-dominated..

Agreed. There are multi-posting women on other websites I frequent - 10/10ths and the infamous Pistonheads. So why not here? Is an interest in the history of motoring and motorsport something that only afflicts the male species?
-
Years ago there was an Australian lady member of AP.
I still have no idea why she left as she seemed to join in well and I can't recall any of the rest of us doing anything to upset her.
Perhaps GwynneF can post here a photo of a car with what she sees as Useful Accessories 8)

Can you get 15 girls into a Mini? (https://i.postimg.cc/G3XTn7wp/15-girls-in-a-mini-2-1966.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)
Yes you can. (https://i.postimg.cc/L6d5prQ2/15-girls-in-a-mini-1966.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)
