Friends,
as you probably know from newspapers, this night there has been a big earthquake in Italy.
The epicentre was located in the village where our fellow member jrpola lives. I was just able to reach him on the mobile and fortunately he is safe, as is his family; however, his village suffered huge damages.
Being a professional rescuer in the Red Cross, he is on duty since this early morning helping people in an advanced emergency camp.
Please, join me in expressing him our solidarity!

Ti sono vicino in questo momento. Sono felice che tu e la tua famiglia state bene ma immagino lo shock nel vedere il proprio ambiente devastato in una notte.

My thoughts and prayers also go out to those affected by the earthquake.  Is there any way to make a donation that will specifically help the people in that area?

That is terrible news.
My thoughts are with the people who have suffered loss of family and friends and damage to their properties.
I sincerely wish that those affected will have a speedy recovery and that life will return to normal as soon as possible.

I haven't seen news for a while. My deepest condolences to the people of the village and the surroundings. To suffer a turnaround in one's life in just one moment... Hope the recovery will not take much time (and I sincerely hope the effect of that eartquake was not too big).

Very sad news and wish you and all your family, friends and compatriots very good luck to get over this tragedy quickly and painlessly jrpola.

I was on duty when it happened...the Control Tower where I work is far, far away from those places but when it happened it shook badly and I was sure it was a big one...
