Title: Getting ready to go
Post by: Boxer2500 on May 28, 2006, 10:02:01 PM
Well y'all, summer's here, and that means packing up the Subie and heading west. Looks like this Wednesday or Thursday is the target departure date, depending on how efficient I am at getting everything together for the summer. I start work in Glacier Park on the 7th of June, so that gives me time to stop and smell the roses on the way out. I haven't decided on a route yet -- figure I'll just play it by ear and see what happens.

This also means that my presence around here is going to be diminished for a while. WiFi is non-existant in the park, and the computers we get for personal web use run on a heavily censored dialup connection, so forum time is headed way down. Truth be told I rather enjoy being off the grid for a few months -- no cell phone reception, no web surfing, and no TV (well, we do have a communal TV with a satellite dish, but I usually choose not to partake). After all, this is all about getting in touch with nature, not technology.

So, hope everyone has a great summer. Anyone planning something fun for the warm months ahead?
