That's definetely the Monteverdi Hai chassis.

X-ray picture:
The illustration was made by Swiss Automobil Revue, so, it slightly differs from the original Trevor Fiore* drawing. The massive square tube frame and the high built gray iron 440 Magnum engine without dry sump extended the weight of the car from (official) 1290kg to (inofficial) 1700kg. All of the official specification were wrong.
Famous motor journalist Paul Frere tested the car back then:
V(max): 270km/h (official 290km/h)
Acceleration (0-100km/h) : 6,7s (official 4,9s) ~ Porsche 2,4S with 190PS (!)

The whole story of the car is merely a story of lies and deception!

*Head of Monteverdi Peter Monteverdi always claimed he himself designed the Hai body, but it actually was Trevor Fiore!

I'd be very  surprised if that crashed car is a Monteverdi. His cars (and trucks), with the exception of his early roadsters and the Hai 650 F1, had very angular window frames.

I guaran-damn-tee that isn't a 440.  The 440 doesn't run the spark plugs through the valve cover.

Such mirrors were never used on Monteverdi cars!

The huge 7-liter engine is housed between (!) the passenger's seats. That's why the car has a very high center of gravity.
Also the rattling sound of the V8 is described as rather disappointing.
Apologise the cropped pic. I've scanned it from a German automotive magazine.
Think it's quite impressive, though! Don't drive topless with long armpit hair and open hood!

At first, I thought it was a generic sedan, based on the open door. Upon closer inspection, the top section of frame above the window looks really short (front to back).
