Images of popular songs
« on: January 17, 2018, 04:36:18 AM »
Here's a new thread. Think of a line from a popular song past or present, and post an image to fit. (This could sink or swim - are there any extant photographs of Napolean's march on Moscow to accompany the 1812 Overture?)

With acknowledgements to Stevie Marriott and Ronnie Lane, from 1968 and the track Lazy Sunday Afternoon.......

" 'ello Mrs Brown, 'ow's your Bert's lumbago?"

"mustn't grumble......."
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Here's another. From the pen of the genius that is Ray Davies,  in 1967......

"As long as I gaze on Waterloo Sunset, I am in paradise...."

Here's one for those who know and understand. You couldn't make it up.

From 1986, and the pen of Bruce Hornsby - "That's just the way it is, Some things will never change".

Where's the last pic actually from, Nicanary? It seems so familiar and yet I can't pinpoint it exactly. It's bugging me. lol

;D Without checking I'd guess it was the Ardoyne in North Belfast.  Oddly enough, there was no trouble this year, which makes a change. No trouble at the Ardoyne that is - plenty elsewhere of course.
