I see!

OK - the journey begins with enlightenment, an encounter with an amusement park coflagration, a race on the highway, an includes a urilogically-challened schoolmate.

No - not from Jersey. This artist comes from a soulful place a bit South and West of there.

This is the third 'solo'album released by this artist. Indeed, he was closer to a solo artist than most.

One of the more popular songs on this album was a re-make of a recording done by a band of which he was once a member. The artist cited Carol King as an influence for some of the other songs on this work.

If this clue doesn't help, I give up.

OK...some guys from Memphis apparently have a big hit on their hands...along the way adolescents visit India and enjoy the sun coming up.

Oops - I guess it's my turn!

Cats, dogs, Salvador Dali, a pink bird, the destruction of the Chrysler Building, and one cool jerk lend an international flavor and feel to this album. .

You must be a big Todd Rundgren fan, Karn!  This one would be "A Wizard, A True Star."
