I saw a 1/43 scale model of a Ronnie Bucknum's 1965 Mexican GP Honda RA272 today and wanted to buy one, but when I asked for price, it was about 200 Euro!  :o I suppose it was worth it, as the detalisation was nearly better than on an original full scale Honda. I just didn't want to spend so much money for a scale model actually...  HPI that was, one of only 100 made.

Remember, this election season....

...is almost over ... THANK GOODNESS!!!!

*rolls eyes*

I just hope people remember that we are all friends/family after the election; otherwise, whoever is elected won't have much to govern.

Apathy kills, but I don't care.

I'm so frikkin glad that the election is over that I almost don't give a shit who won.

Besides.  I got my own little private hell going on here (read: ex-wife, pension, mental illness & drugs {hers, not mine}) and all I wanna do is hide under my bed.  But I'd have to clean there first and I'm not up for that.  I talked to my lawyer today and there's a chance things will be over and done with in a couple of weeks.  I sure hope so.

So...who won the election?  Never mind.  I'll add an old joke about apathy.  Question: Which is worse?  Ignorance or apathy?  Answer: "I don't know, and I don't care."  And maybe the insanity is mine, after all.

Thanks, Cort.  Prayers, good vibes, +++++~~~~~~ comin yer way, too.  Hope the health problems get rectified soon.  Before we both know it, it'll be cruisin and racin season all over again.  I dunno about you, but I gotta get the roll cage into the race car so I can run in the 150 Club.  I'd hoped to become proficient enough to weld the damned thing in myself, but given current circumstances, I may not be able to do that.  Still gonna try.

I did a little ignition work on the race car but don't really have a way to test it.  I wonder if the cops would mind if I drove it 5 or so miles to a place that has a dyno?  Yeahrightsure.

At the moment, I'm caught up in this divorce/pension deal and although papers have been served and a hearing date of 11/27 set, I'm sure there will be plenty of chicanery and obstruction going on before that happens.

I guess we both gotta keep goin and keep our fingers crossed.  I'll email ya a coupla emails I got from Gayle.  I think it's a good case for proving demonic possession.  She's real sick...and back on booze and drugs again.   It's really sad.

Best regards.

Since I'm here, I'll report that things seem to have come to a happy ending...for the moment at least.  I was able to get my retirement pension and found that I could buy myself a retirement gift.  Since I already had a watch (albeit not gold, but a nice watch anyway), I bought a Camaro.  It's a 2010 SS/RS, 6.2l V8, 426hp, 6-speed manual trans, independent rear suspension and all the goodies including a sunroof.  It only has 19k miles on it and it feels just like a brand new car.

I bought it in a little bit of a hurry, since I thought I was gonna have to make a quick dash to Portland, Or for Target 550 streamliner testing...like the first time it'll move under its own power.  I wanna be there for that if I have to go in a motorized wheelchair!  But the test has been delayed while a few modifications are taken care of (the multi-plate clutches are being modified a little) so the rush is off.

Anyway, I've only driven the Camaro about 50 miles, so I think I'll go burn up some gas...the price of which has dropped fairly significantly in the last couple of weeks.  I might even turn off the traction control and see if I can "light 'em up" when nobody's looking.

Otto Puzzell

Yee-ha!  ;D

FWIW, I just picked up a lease on a Fiesta, also 6-speeds and a sunroof. No way to turn off the traction control, but I don't think there's enough grunt to light 'em up on anything but ice.

Say, did you hear the Pope has become a Twitter user? I'm not surprised, as the Catholic cardinals have been tweeting for years.
