Didja know that Delores Ericson, the model for that cover was 3 months pregnant when the shot was taken?

Didja know that if you look real close, you can see the towel she was wearing under all that shaving cream?  The only whipped cream was on her finger and in her hair.

Have you heard the new album REWHIPPED Herb released this year?  It's a remix of the original 1965 album, and it's big on the jazz charts.  Nice cover update with Guess Jeans girl Bree Condon, too...this time, there's a gatefold...

Herb and the Brass (among others) were the soundtrack of my childhood.  My parents were "hipper" than I ever dreamt, given that all their musical tastes have stood the test of time.  I still remember watching them and their friends in our basement dancing, music blaring, laughter blaring louder, alcohol flowing, cigarettes burning (it was the sixties, and that was pretty much the norm), and now, with both of them in their winter years, those memories are priceless to me.

In addition to REWHIPPED, several albums from the TJB heyday  1962-1968 have been remastered and are available on CD from Shout! Factory records.

I always have one of these albums in my CD player in my car...makes for great cruising music.  Since several of these albums have never been available on CD before, the sound is fantastic!

They're easy to find at Amazon.com; some bookstores have them, like Barnes and Noble or Borders...Best Buy and Fry have them, too...

I hope I haven't sounded like an advertisement for Herb Alpert...but this music was a huge part of my formative years, just as it was for a lot of us.  Here's a great chance to relive the magic.
